Use Lightyear's XStream VoIP to talk to loved ones overseas!

I think it's safe to say that each of us either have a loved one serving in the military overseas, or know someone who does. What you, and many other people, may not know is that you can use VoIP to talk to your loved ones who are currently overseas, and since VoIP is a fixed price, you can talk for as long as you want, without paying extra!

My best friend is a military wife, and she said that this alone would've saved them thousands of dollars!

How it works:
As you may or may not know, VoIP works through a broadband internet connection. All you have to do is plug the VoIP modem box into any working broadband connection, and after a few seconds you'll have dialtone. That's it. Well, many military bases have internet cafes that have broadband. So all you have to do is buy a VoIP box with a number local to you, send it overseas to your loved one, and then they can just plug it into the broadband internet and can call you! All it will cost is $24.99 a month + taxes/fees. The VoIP box itself costs $50, but after the rebate, it's free.

So if you have any loved ones overseas or know anyone who does, you might want to let them know about this. It could save people a LOT of money!

To find out more about using VoIP to talk to loved ones serving overseas in the military, read this article entitled "Soldiers go XStream."

We have a new presentation website!

www.lyaintro.com

The website contains a detailed (but not TOO detailed!) power point presentation hosted by the leader of the Vision Team, Ben Sturtevant. Ben is a Vice President and top income earner with Lightyear Alliance. He is also a genuine individual who truly cares about the success of his team members. I've worked with him a lot and the amount of help he has given me is priceless.

I'd like to extend a big "thank you" to Ben Sturtevant, who made this wonderful presentation website for his team members to use.

VoIP is AWESOME.

VoIP has been gaining popularity for quite some time in the US. I never really understood what the big deal was until I actually took the time to learn about all of the features.

When I first heard about VoIP, for some reason I was thinking it would never catch on because people would have to change their phone-usage habits. I thought you had to buy a special phone to use for it, that the connection would be choppy, and that it would just be not all that convenient to use.

I was wrong.

Recently I learned that you can actually use your regular phone, and it feels and sounds just like you were using your regular landline service. I learned that VoIP works through a small box that looks like a DSL modem. You actually just plug the VoIP box into your high-speed internet modem, plug your phone cord into the VoIP box, and you’re ready to go. Who knew? Then you get clear-as-bell phone calls (on the same phone you’ve been using), you get to keep all of the features your landline service had (3-way calling, caller ID, etc), and you get unlimited long distance… at a much cheaper price than a standard landline phone service! That’s extremely convenient and saves money too. You just can’t beat it!

On top of that, VoIP can do things that landline service just can’t do. For instance there’s a portability feature. See, your telephone number is programmed right into the VoIP box, so lets say you live in Pennsylvania and go on vacation to Texas… if you take your VoIP box with you, and you have access to high-speed internet, people can call you on your regular phone line, and you can also call them. This also means that if you actually pick up and MOVE to Texas, you can take your old phone number with you, and your friends from your previous area can still call you on your old number and they won’t be charged any long distance fees because they will be calling a local number!

You can also buy what are called “virtual numbers” at an extra monthly charge (which, with Lightyear Alliance, is only about $6). What that means is that say you live in New York and your mom lives in California. You can get a number that is local to her area, so that she can call you without long distance charges. That’s a really cool option!

Another great thing about VoIP, is that if you are using Cable high-speed internet, you don’t need to have a landline at all. You can just get VoIP for around $25 a month, and that will cover your local and long distance calls! If you have DSL, though, you still need to keep your landline phone service, as that is what your DSL service runs through.

So as you can see, VoIP has some really great advantages over the normal landline phones. Now that I know more about it, I can see everyone (who has access to high-speed internet) using VoIP in the future.

If VoIP sounds like something you’d be interested in, check out Lightyear Alliance’s XStream VoIP. It’s $24.99 a month and includes unlimited long distance calls to anywhere in the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico!

Lightyear Alliance has everything I've been looking for in a company, and let me tell you why.

In February of 2004 I got involved in a telecom company that shall remain nameless. I was so excited about the possibilities when I joined the company, but was quite naive when it came to network marketing. In fact, I didn't know a darn thing about it.

As time moved on and I began to learn more about network marketing, I realized that the company I was involved with wasn't everything they said it was. They also left out a few details like a huge startup fee that you must pay every year, and that you make little to NO money unless you are a stellar recruiter. The residual income payout was also pathetically low at a measly 0.25% on levels 1-5. How anyone could build a substantial income with that, I don't know. They promised 7% on the 7th level, but most people I know in the company (including myself) never even made it to that level. I couldn't, with good conscience, get people involved in a business opportunity where I KNEW they wouldn't make anything unless they recruited others, so I left the company to look for something else.

I looked through hundreds of other companies, but had a tough time finding anything that really stuck out to me as something great. I eventually found a health company called Eniva and have been doing well at that company for the past year.

Recently, a friend of mine messaged me on AOL Instant Messenger with a PDF file, and said "What do you think of this comp plan?" It was for a telecom company, and the comp plan was amazing. It was like everything that was wrong with the comp plan of my last company had been fixed. Not only did they pay well for sponsoring new team members into your business, but they also paid well for acquiring customers! (something my last company didn't do... period). They also pay out great residual percentages all the way down. This was a comp plan that people could do well with, whether they were great at getting customers or great at getting business-builders, or even good at both.

The company with the great comp plan I'm talking about is obviously Lightyear Alliance. I know you may be thinking "If you're doing well with one company, why join another?" Well, I just couldn't pass this up. I also think it never hurts to have a second stream of income, even if it's from another network marketing company (as long as they are in two different industries).

The great thing about telecom as compared to other industries is that it's a necessary service that people are already using. So I just help people save money on bills they are already paying, and then I earn residual income (as well as bonuses) for doing that. Then I build a team of people who do the same and I earn income from that too (both residual and bonuses). The reason I didn't get back into telecom before this is because I couldn't find a company with the right comp plan.

Lightyear Alliance has the right comp plan!

Lightyear Alliance is also great because they are well-established, but new at the same time. They're actually a division of Lightyear Network Solutions, which is a 13-year-old company. They decided to start Lightyear Alliance as a word-of-mouth marketing division 3 years ago, because direct sales is the way of the future. People are more likely to go with a recommendation from a friend than an advertisement on tv or in a magazine (costs less for the company too!). So this is like getting into a company in the beginning without the risk of company failure (most companies fail within their first 5 years of business... Lightyear has 13 years of experience).

So to sum this all up, Lightyear Alliance is the perfect company because it deals with necessary services that people use and pay for every day, because the timing is perfect, and because they pay you well for BOTH customer acquisition and recruiting. You just can't beat it.
